The IIW provides academic advisors with access to institutional data. One of the most important features of this system is the ability to generate real-time rosters of students according to major. The final report includes not only the names of the enrolled students, but also individual student information such as gender, GPA, email address, cumulative GPA, and transfer units earned. Advisors must note, however, that because this report is real-time and accounts for students who change majors or withdraw mid-semester, it may not be consistent with the official university roster for a given semester.
Another IIW feature that may be very useful to advisors is the ability to generate a report of students who are admitted to a major for future semesters. This report includes student name, general demographic information, and UA email address once established.
The IIW has the ability to create numerous other reports, including data on course enrollment, graduation numbers, and aggregate student data. Some of this data is available to the public, while access to student-specific data such as major and admission rosters require a specific advisor log-in. Advisors can log directly onto the IIW's advisor portal with a Net ID and password, or can access the site through the "Favorites" section of Advisor Link.
