The University of Arizona

Prospective Students

Selecting a university to attend and a major to study are important decisions for any prospective student. From the early stages of exploring the University of Arizona as an academic option through the actual process of enrollment and registration, the UA provides numerous resources to support prospective students.

Applying to the UA

The University of Arizona's Office of Admissions assists students in the process of applying to the UA and directs prospective students toward key campus resources.

Transfer Students

Any student with at least 24 units of transferable college credit who is not applying to the UA directly out of high school is considered to be a transfer student. UA advisors will work especially closely with transfer students in order to plan for a smooth academic transition from the previous school.

High School Students

There are many things to consider in planning for the college experience. High school students and guidance counselors will find there is help available for the transition from high school to college.

New Student Orientation

All students are required to fulfill orientation requirements prior to registering for their first-semester courses at the UA.
